Whether the kids of are off school for the holiday’s or you’re looking for something to do over the weekend - finding an activity that is fun for the whole family can be difficult, especially when you feel like you’ve already done everything before.

With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of 6 fun days out that the whole family can enjoy:

  1. Spend The Day Visiting Local Museums

Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the things that are in your own backyard. Most cities and towns will have a number of different museums you can visit, giving your kids a look into the history of the place they’re growing up. Nine times out of ten, you will find it interesting too!

  1. Visit A Local Theme Park

The great thing about visiting a theme park is there are usually rides for kids (and adults) of all ages! If you’ve got a family that varies in ages it’s a great day trip that will keep everyone pleased. With roller coasters, thrillers and small rides, you can’t go wrong. If you’re lucky, you may even find a Walking Dinosaur Ride!

  1. Spend The Day At A National Park

America is filled with so many beautiful National Parks that it would be a shame not to visit as many as you can. Research the ones that are closest to you and take a day trip there. Whilst it may not give you a chance to explore everything, you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning nature and wildlife.

If you want to make it even more fun for the kids, create a little nature and wildlife hunt for them to take part in.

  1. Take A Picnic To The Park

If you’re on a budget, this is one of the most affordable ways to spend a day out with the family. Pack yourselves a picnic blanket, lots of outdoor activities and as much delicious food as you can eat!

Spending the day playing sports, eating incredible food and watching your children have fun whilst enjoying the park is a great way to spend time with the family. It’s affordable, fun and a moment you’ll treasure for years to come.

  1. Attend A Craft Day For Hands-On Fun

Whilst there may not be a craft day in your local town every week, if you find one nearby they’re a great way to keep everyone in the family occupied. Usually, they will have lots of different crafts available on the day and for a small fee, you can take part in as many as you like, bringing home your creations afterwards.

  1. Visit The Zoo To Learn All About The Animals And Wildlife

You can’t beat a day at the zoo!

With lots of incredible animals, all the animal-themed snacks you can eat and plenty of opportunities to learn - it’s a fun day out for everyone.
