Weight Loss Smoothies Under 50 Calories That Actually Taste Good

by - March 28, 2018

Often times when we think about weight loss we think of bland, tasteless meals, flavorless drinks and choking down health shots. That doesn't have to be the case. In the process of my postpartum fitness journey, which you can follow here, I have been revamping the way I think about weight loss. Here are some of my favorite super healthy smoothies under 50 calories to help your weight loss journey be a bit more tasty!

Pineapple & Spinach
I am not someone who particular likes the greens. Wish I was, but I simply am not. The tangy citrus of the pineapple and the muted taste of the banana hide all the yucky "healthy" flavors of the greens. This is great for people like me or getting those essential vitamins and minerals into fussy toddlers.

2 tablespoons yogurt
1 handful spinach
1/2 banana
1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
1/2 cup low-fat milk
2 cups fresh pineapple
ice cubes

Pear Berry Smoothie
Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. For those of us who want all the benefits of the avocado, but aren't fans of the guac like the majority of today's population this is a great way to sneak in the butter green nutrient machine.

1 pears
1 kiwi (peeled)
1/4 avocado
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup spinach
3 ounces nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon flax seed meal
ice cubes

Chocolate Banana
Who said you can't have chocolate and still lose weight? Chocolate is seriously the essence of my being. It's the one love I can't let go. This smoothie is like a chocolate covered banana that you can drink from a straw.

1/2 bananas
1/4 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 cup yogurt
ice cubes
